ZDNET Highlights

  • The Soundcore Space 2 starts at $130 in three colors.
  • They are positioned as more premium than the Space One and less premium than the Space One Pro.
  • These include upgrades in audio hardware, noise cancellation and battery life.

Soundcore’s latest announcement from MWC 2026 is its new Space 2 headphones, the sequel to its budget-focused flagship over-ear set. According to Soundcore, the Space 2 debuts with better low-frequency noise cancellation, an improved diaphragm for audio quality and AI-powered noise reduction algorithms for clearer sound and better noise-canceling performance.

The upgrade positions the Space 2 as an upgrade to the Space One headphones, but as a separate, more affordable option before the Space One Pro.

The Space 2 arrives shortly after Soundcore launched the Space One Pro, a more powerful version of its Space One headphones. Like the Space One Pro, the Space 2 features SoundCore’s four-stage noise cancellation, which detects, filters, and cancels unwanted noise.

Soundcore says the Space 2 features double-layer diaphragm drivers, consisting of 40mm dynamic drivers with silk diaphragms and metal ceramic to enhance bass response, sound clarity, and reproduce clear highs.

The Space 2 offers better battery life than the Space One, with up to 50 hours of playtime with ANC enabled and up to 70 hours with ANC turned off. According to Soundcore, the Space 2 will feature an improved HearID 3.0, the company’s proprietary software that creates a user’s hearing profile. This technology should enhance the listening experience by enhancing specific frequencies that may cause hearing loss to the user’s ears.

Otherwise, the Space 2 is identical to the Space One, as both headphones feature a foldable design, wear detection, LDAC Bluetooth codec support, and five-minute quick charging.

According to Soundcore, the Space 2 headphones will be available starting April 21 for $130. The Space 2 headphones will be available in Linen White, Jet Black, and Seafoam Green.
