If you’re having trouble looking up Amazon product prices or using the Amazon app, you’re not alone. Amazon is facing a disruption, according to DownDetector. More than 150,000 reports had been submitted to the site as of Thursday.

DownDetector’s map shows partial outages in major US cities, including New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, San Francisco and Seattle. The service, which handles user reports, is owned by Ziff Davis, ZDNET’s parent company.

As of 6:20 PM ET, the total number of reports has dropped significantly, now standing at around 2,000 (from 220,000, at its peak). Some users are reportedly able to add items to cart and make purchases again, while others are still saying that their listings on Amazon sites and apps are being directed to blank pages.

Amazon acknowledged the issue Thursday afternoon and said it was working to fix it.

“We regret that some customers may have experienced issues while making purchases. We appreciate customers’ patience as we work to resolve the issue,” an Amazon spokesperson wrote in an email to ZDNET. The reason for the partial outage is still unclear.

This is a developing story.
