Amazon Prime Video has removed its AI-powered video recaps Controversy Later viewers noticed that key parts of the story were wrong. The streaming service started testing video recaps last month, and now they’re missing from shows included in the test Controversy, stuff, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, uploadAnd Bosch.
The feature supposedly uses AI to analyze key plot points of a show and summarizes it in a bite-sized video with an AI voiceover and clips from the series.
But a recap of its season ControversyPrime Video incorrectly stated that one of The Ghoul’s (Walton Goggins) flashbacks is set in “1950s America” instead of the year 2077. As seen earlier Games Radar,
Monotone AI-Narrator of Controversy The recap also incorrectly states that The Ghoul gives Lucy McLean (Ella Purnell) the choice to “die or leave with him” in the quest to find her father, though it’s a little more complicated than that. It would be more accurate to say that Lucy could have gone with The Ghoul, or stayed where she was and risked an attack from The Brotherhood of Steel.
according to amazonAI-powered recaps were supposed to display on a series’ detail page when a “customer navigates to the next season of a supported series”, but they have now disappeared entirely. The Verge We reached out to Prime Video with a request for comment but did not immediately receive a response.
