Google’s AI will make search result links more obvious

Google says it will now display links more prominently within its AI-powered features in search. Robbie Stein, Vice President of Google Search, announced on tuesday When you hover over sources in AI Overview and AI mode on desktop, a list of links will appear inside a pop-up, along with a description of each linked article and attached images.

Stein says Google will also show these “more descriptive and prominent link icons” in its AI responses on desktop and mobile. “Our testing shows that this new UI is more attractive, making it easier to find the best content on the web,” writes Stein.
