Something strange is happening with ManyVids, a porn platform like OnlyFans with millions of users. For about the past half year, its official account on 404 media reports,
Furthermore, many adult content creators on the platform suspect that the secret post is a sign that French is suffering from some kind of delusional episode caused by AI addiction, a phenomenon that psychiatrists are labeling AI psychosis. And this is making them feel quite uneasy about the future of the site.
One of these creators said, “If something were to happen to MV (or my account there) that can only be described as AI psychosis, I would stand to lose over $14K per year in income – which is not a trivial amount.” 404. “It concerns me that access to my earnings, and more importantly my personal information, is in the hands of someone who is beyond reality.”
Posts first began appearing on Twitter in mid-2025. As 404 It explains that, instead of promoting creators and other content related to the platform, the Manyvids account “began posting cryptic quotes, phrases and images, many of which appear to be by or about an AI.” The account will also interact with obvious bots, or Post pointless, bullet-pointed and adorned with emojis Such quips are exactly the kind of nonsense you’d expect from AI spammers.
Posts on X are closed. But they continue on the Manyvids website itself, which has a dedicated feed for official posts.
At some point during the AI posting spree, the site’s owner French had what appeared to be a worrying change of heart. A former cam model, she has long advocated for the rights of sex workers and launched ManyVids a decade ago to provide a platform where they could monetize their content and be treated fairly by site owners. 404.
But now she seems to be struggling against what she has created. As recently as last November, French updated her website to state that her new personal mission is to “take one million people out of the adult industry and do everything possible to ensure that no new ones enter it.” 404 noted.
The dramatic shift in beliefs, coupled with bizarre nonsense posts on cultural topics, shows the hallmarks of AI psychosis, a term some experts are using to describe episodes in which users are led down a mental health spiral by AI chatbots. Some extreme cases end with outbursts of violence, including suicide and murder. But more common cases see someone pulled down a delusional rabbit hole, leading them to believe they have had divine experiences, or discovered a game-changing scientific advancement, or have supernatural powers like the ability to bend time.
Many Vids content creators agree that something AI related is going on. Almost all the creators of the platform who 404 The boast, given the bizarre and AI-generated features of the video, talked about “AI psychosis” without prompting. And it is humiliating and discouraging them.
Another ManyWeeds creator noted, “Ethical dilemmas about AI aside, the posts are completely disconnected from ManyWeeds as a site.” 404 media. “Their customers and their creators do not receive any kind of service from them. Upon facing backlash, MV removed the ability to comment on posts.”
