Police have said they are assessing information about the financial relationship between Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Jeffrey Epstein, as files released by the US Justice Department revealed the former prince shared substantial information with the pedophile while a business representative and a working royal.
Thames Valley Police, the force covering the Windsor area where Mountbatten-Windsor lived for many years, said it was “assessing” information about her business conduct after the report was submitted by anti-monarchy group Republic.
The FT and other media outlets have reported how in 2010 Mountbatten-Windsor sent Epstein reports that had been compiled for her in her official role as a trade representative ahead of a trip to China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Vietnam.
“We are … assessing the information in line with our established procedures,” the force said on Monday.
