Having hardwood floors and pets means I also have to sweep and mop to keep my house clean. I prefer hard floors over carpet because it’s easier to keep dust allergens away, but the combination of a robot vacuum and a mop doesn’t always leave my floors as clean as if I cleaned them myself.

Our floors see a lot: from dirty claw marks in the spring to tiny salty footprints in the winter. Most robot mops latch onto these messes and spread them around instead of actually cleaning them. mova mobius 60 Specifically designed to flip the script.

I first saw this robot at CES in January 2025 and was mesmerized by the dock mechanism that moves three pairs of mop pads. Whenever the Mobius 60 detects a stain, spill or floor type it automatically replaces its mop pad with the appropriate pad.

For example, the robot goes out to vacuum and mop hardwood floors with yellow plush mops. These mop pads are the softest pair and protect delicate surfaces.
The Mobius 60 can come back to the dock and swap out its mop pads for Thermahold mops that retain heat longer than the hot water used to wash them by the dock, and then break up the grease, which is perfect for the kitchen. For other needs, the HyperClean Mop can clean non-delicate surfaces like tile and vinyl planks.

At the dock, the mop pads rotate on the inside of the door, and you never have to touch them. The robot will dock, wash its mop pads, dry them, disassemble them and then put them away.
Since the mop pads are magnetic, the robot can drop them off, vacuum the carpets, and then come back to pick them up without your intervention. The mop pads lift up when the Mobius 60 moves over carpet, but you can vacuum all of your carpets with the device before you start vacuuming and mopping your hard floors.

That said, the mop isn’t the only outstanding feature of the Mobius 60.
This robot vacuum has a suction power of 30,000Pa, making it the market leader right now. This tool can clean carpet debris that even my upright vacuum can’t pick up, especially trapped hairs and dirt that have fallen down from the entry rug where my dog wipes his paws.

The Mobius 60’s two roller brushes rotate in opposite directions, so the device can pick up dirt, debris, and crumbs, and quickly dispose of this mess in the trash without getting hair tangled in the brush. The robot then returns to the base station and automatically empties its trash into a dust bag on the dock.
Even more impressive: Whenever the Mobius 60 detects carpet, a pressure-retaining baffle automatically descends to create a somewhat sealed space, picking up dust and hair that are deeply embedded in the fibers.
ZDNET’s shopping advice
mova mobius 60 This is probably one of the best robot vacuum-and-mop combinations we’ll see all year. This appliance is designed for homes with mixed floors or mostly hard floors, and I would recommend the same to buyers.
If you have mostly carpet, you can probably skip this vacuum in favor of another robot that doesn’t put so much emphasis on mopping.

As a robot mop, the Mobius 60 provides the best cleaning I’ve seen, thanks to its ability to intelligently tailor its cleaning to the type of dirt and floor and the amount of downward pressure it applies to remove spots.
